JAUM Celebrates 60 Years:  Share your JA memory
Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest was established during the 1949/1950 school year.  This year marks the 60th Anniversary. Thank you for being part of our mission to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.

What is JA?

At no time in recent history has the need for financial literacy and economic education been more evident than it is now. Over the past few months, we have been reminded constantly of the everyday risks of poor financial management. Unfortunately, these issues touch people of all walks of life, often leaving the financially uneducated as the most vulnerable.

With over 90 years of experience, Junior Achievement continues to be at the forefront, answering the need for financial literacy. Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest's goal for the 2009-2010 school year is to reach local students with nearly 900,000 contact hours of our relevant economic education programs. We believe as a community, we can start inspiring tomorrow's leaders to make successful choices today.
