JAUM strives to provide innovative, fundamental learning opportunities preparing all students grade K-12 for a lifetime of success.  Through your financial support, Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest can increase program availability, implementation and volunteer training.  JA programs are taught in 650 schools throughout the Upper Midwest, reaching 109,000 students with over 1 million contact hours in 2009.  Help us reach 120,000 students during the 2010/2011 school year.

Here's how your gift can make a difference in the life of a student:

  • $25 helps a first grader learn the roles people play in the local economy
  • $50 teaches personal finance to a high school student through JA Finance Park
  • $100 introduces 2 students to careers through JA Job Shadow
  • $500 provides 20 students after school programming in economic education through JA More than Money
  • $1,000 brings a class of 25 students to JA Biztown, JA's experimental lab that allows students to apply their skills in a fun, hands-on, learning environment
  • $2,500 provides 17 at-risk students scholarships to attend JA Summer Camps

Volunteer

Volunteers embody the heart of Junior Achievement.  Taking a message of opportunity and economic understanding to a classroom in your community, no matter what your profession, is JA in action.  Learn more about lending your time and talent here.

 Educator Opportunities

At the invitation of an educator, we help arrange for business people and local community leaders to visit classrooms and implement short term or long term JA programs.  They volunteer to share their workforce experience, all while teaching sound economic principals that reinforce class curricula.  Learn how you can implement JA programs in your classroom here.
