Twin Cities Start-Up Week
October 9-15, 2017
Twin Cities Start-Up Week is an action packed week filled with events and entertainment that focuses on highlighting and showcasing innovation in Minnesota businesses. Our track, TCSW Youth, is leading a group of students on a one of a kind week-long show case designed to teach and inspire Minneapolis’ youth. Learn more and register online.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Day
Sponsored by the Schulze School of Entrepreneurship
Attend a hands-on workshop in design thinking and ideation. Collaborate with other entrepreneurial students to create a prototype for a business concept. The day will conclude with the opportunity to watch current St. Thomas students pitch business ideas in the annual Fowler Business Concept Challenge.

Joe Francomano Scholarship
High school students with academic achievement, leadership skills, JA involvement and financial need are invited to apply for this scholarship. Recipients may use the award to pay for education expenses at any accredited post-secondary educational institution for any field of study resulting in a baccalaureate degree. The Achievement Foundation established this scholarship to honor past JA visionary Joe Francomano. The foundation provides an annual award of $5,000 per year for up to four years. S P Jain Scholarships
S P Jain, one of Asia’s leading business schools, is offering scholarships to high potential students for its admission to its Global Bachelor of Business Administration Program. They are looking for students interested in studying abroad for four years; two years in Singapore,one year in Sydney, and one year in Dubai.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must complete an online, one-hour aptitude test;
  • Students must achieve a 32 predicted score on the IB Diploma, or have a high GPA
  • If qualified, students will have a performance interview and provide their academic record, including personal achievements/involvements in their community

Scholarships from S P Jain can be awarded from 25% to a full 100% tuition waiver. The registration fee is $2,000 and other fees may include airfares, visas, etc. For more information, visit their web site.

Social Innovation Relay

High school students are invited to participate in the second annual Social Innovation Relay, a global online challenge where students will compete to represent the United States. Students will create a socially innovative solution to a societal issue of their choice.
