Ways to Support JA
Donate by mail
Please make your check payable to Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest and send to:
Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest
Attn: Development Department
1745 University Ave W
St. Paul, MN 55104
If your company offers a matching gift program, please consider including the form with your contribution. This will enable JA to reach even more students with your gift. Contact your employer’s HR or benefits representative for more information. All new and increased gifts to JAUM will be matched through the Hugh Schilling Challenge Match. Learn more.
Make a monthly gift to JA and become a member of our inaugural Sustainer Club. As a monthly donor, you’ll enjoy:
- Your charitable giving is established for the entire year. No further action is required. It’s that easy!
- Automatic credit card or PayPal deduction
- Ability to change or suspend your donations at any time
- A JA “sustain”able tote to use over and over again (with a minimum monthly gift of $10)
- Knowing that your donation immediately supports JA students
Donate through workplace giving
You can support JA through your company’s United Way or employee giving campaign. Almost all workplace giving programs allow you to designate all or a portion of your gift to the charity of your choice. List JA in the designation section of your company’s pledge form (see name/address above). For more detailed instructions, download our Workplace Giving Designation Instructions.
Make a stock gift
A donation of appreciated stock to Junior Achievement will help us further our mission and also help you take a tax deduction. Typically you not only get a charitable deduction for the amount of your gift, but you also avoid having to pay taxes on any gains since acquiring the stock (please consult your tax advisor for specifics related to your situation). JAUM puts your stock donation to work quickly – we do not hold your stock, but rather sell it immediately and put the proceeds to work supporting our financial literacy programming. Download a stock transfer form here.
Make a planned gift
Leave a legacy and benefit future generations by including JAUM as a beneficiary in your will, trust arrangement, life insurance policy, retirement plan or other financial vehicle. To make a bequest of cash or property, use the following language in your will:
I give [description of asset or percentage of property, or dollar amount] to Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, located at 1745 University Ave W, St. Paul, MN 55104. Federal ID# 41-1424988.
Planned gift donors are recognized as members of the Schilling Family Legacy Society. To learn more, call Morgan Kinross-Wright at 651-255-0056.
Partner with a local school
Your financial support can help hundreds of students learn real-world skills that will prepare them to succeed in school and beyond. Learn how you or your company can introduce students to JA programs by partnering with a local school.
