Tyler is the co-founder and CEO of AdrenaCard, a privately held health-technology and drug-delivery device company based in Minneapolis, that has developed novel approaches to the form and function of auto-injectors for improved availability and compliance. The company’s devices exhibit a drastic decrease in size compared to other devices available and employs additional features to increase its user friendliness. With a mission to bring peace of mind to life for its customers, the AdrenaCard team believes that life saving devices should not keep you from living.
Tyler was inspired to start AdrenaCard while working as a chef and restaurant developer. He witnessed the struggles of those suffering from potentially fatal food allergies and noted how current auto-injectors failed to meet their needs. Partnering with an engineer from the University of Minnesota, he employed the lean startup process and developed a product that met these needs. The technology has gained traction among patients and caregivers and the company continues to develop products for other markets where peace of mind matters.
As a Junior Achievement volunteer, Tyler has shared his professional experiences and expertise to help develop the next generation of entrepreneurs. He has mentored JA Company Program students, has been a featured entrepreneur speaker at the JA Company of the Year Competition, and has consulted on the first-of-its-kind JA Innovation Incubator.
Thanks, Tyler, for sharing your time and talent with upcoming entrepreneurs!
