Volunteer – JA Finance Park

JA Finance Park teaches middle and high school students about personal money management by simulating the financial decisions and challenges they will experience in their adult lives. Students assume family and income scenarios and gather information to make financial decisions. They use bank services, contribute to charities, pay for basic living expenses and make investments, all while working to balance their budgets. Each year, approximately 1,500 students will become business owners, consumers and community citizens at JA Finance Park.

Volunteer Role
A group of 15 to 20 volunteers help students navigate JA Finance Park at each on-site simulation. Volunteers work with a small group of students to guide them in creating a balanced household budget and paying their monthly bills.

Time Commitment
Each volunteer event is from approximately 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Location
1800 White Bear Ave N, Maplewood, MN 55109 (directions)
